Bee Seasonal

GERMANY - Organic SILVER FIR Black Forest Honeydew Honey

Silver Fir honey is a rarity. Unlike blossom honey, bees collect the honeydew produced by sap-sucking insects called cochineals, which live in the bark of the Silver Fir trees. Bees then process this honeydew, just like nectar, and create this honey. In Germany, honey may only be named "Fir Honey" if it has its origins in the Silver Fir. In other countries, however, the "Fir Honey" can also be spruce honey! If you want the true Silver Fir Honey, you must pay attention to the country of origin.
